Our
Story
BGG Consulting is focused on advancing equity and justice for traditionally underserved communities by building skills in policy and advocacy, and developing strategic organizational capacity. BGG Consulting was founded by Elizabeth Gibbons following her time at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. After over a decade of working in the education policy and advocacy space, it was clear that she wanted to take her passion for supporting students in urban communities to the myriad of social issues that affect academic and life outcomes for women, children, and families. Her work has been responsible for thousands of students receiving high-dosage tutoring, tens of millions of dollars allocated to serving students with special needs, and hundreds of people inspired to get involved in the democratic process.
“I’ve seen the power of ‘everyday’ people rising up to advocate and change laws and policies that impact hundreds of thousands of students. They are mothers, teachers, faith leaders, and students. They are powerful stewards of truth. I love igniting the spark for advocacy and helping organizations build a pathway to policy change. The most profound advances can happen when people come to share their stories with those in power. It’s like lightning striking.”
